I have been learning the piano with Felicity since I was 4 years old. I enjoy her lessons very much, she is kind and patient. I sometimes make mistakes but she always helps me to improve. I would recommend her to my friends because her lessons are fun and I’m making really good progress.

I am delighted to write a review for Felicity Cox, who has been teaching my children for many years. My son, who is now 11, started learning piano with Felicity when he was just 6 years old. She has been an incredibly patient and nurturing teacher, always able to connect with him and make learning fun. Her lessons are engaging and tailored to his level of skill and interest, which has kept him motivated and excited about playing the piano.

My daughter, now 17, was taught by Felicity for 10 years playing the violin. Throughout her teenage years, Felicity’s guidance and encouragement helped my daughter develop a strong technical foundation. Felicity’s ability to adapt her teaching style to suit the changing needs of a young person is truly remarkable.

One of the most impressive aspects of Felicity’s teaching was her seamless transition to online lessons during the pandemic. She ensured that the quality of instruction remained high, even as we all adjusted to remote learning. Her dedication to her student’s progress and her flexibility in using technology made a challenging time much easier for our family.

Felicity Cox is a fantastic music teacher, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, skilled, and adaptable instructor. My children have flourished under her guidance, and we are grateful for her commitment to their musical journey.

I have been with Felicity for 18 months. I decided to learn to play the violin after finding my brother’s old one in the loft. I approached two teachers before Felicity. They weren’t interested in taking me on after I told them I was 71 years old but when I spoke to Felicity she told me that didn’t matter and that she had students who were in their eighties! That was music to my ears, if you’ll forgive the pun! I also told her that I didn’t want to do any of the violin exams and she told me that would also be ok. After meeting her for the first time I realised that I would be able to enjoy working with her.

Felicity is a very friendly and helpful teacher and I enjoy going to my weekly lessons with her. She has a beautiful room for teaching which has excellent acoustics. She even does online lessons when students are unable to get to her house.

Since starting my lessons with Felicity I have improved my technique immensely and will continue playing the violin for the rest of my life.

I would gladly recommend Felicity Cox as a piano teacher. We have been very happy with the progress our daughter has made since starting lessons with her. Having recently changed piano teachers, Felicity has been able to pick up exactly where she left off and quickly understand her individual needs and abilities.

Our daughter genuinely looks forward to her lessons and feels both encouraged and challenged. Her strengths are being developed while areas that need improvement are addressed in a way that suits her musical ability and learning style. The lessons are well adapted to her needs, and she is becoming more confident and motivated in her playing.

The guidance and support from Felicity have been excellent, and communication with us as parents has been fantastic.

Our children have been learning with Felicity since they were 4. They have really enjoyed going and now starting on their first grading piece. Our eldest had the opportunity to perform at the annual concert Felicity puts on for her students and their families which was amazing. Our children have their lessons well adapted to ensure they understand both the theory and practical aspects of learning the piano are acheived. Would absolutely recommend Felicity to all.

I started learning the violin in January as a beginner at 35, and I was very nervous about starting something completely new again as an adult. From the beginning, Felicity has made me feel comfortable, encouraged and makes learning feel enjoyable.

She explains things in a way that is easy to understand which has made learning the violin much less daunting than I initially expected. I also appreciate that I can fit my lessons around my shift work.
